Last night, I tried to do a WILD for my first time. I went to sleep and woke myself up 5 hours later with an alarm clock. I did all the techniques that I read from a WILD tutorial. The relaxation bit seemed to drag longer than i expected. Afer a while i couldnt feel my body, it felt really heavy. Then finaly, I had my eyes closed and it seemed like the whole world was spinning really fast in circles even though my eyes were closed. Then i felt a tingling sensation starting at my leg and i knew that i was entering SP. Slowly, my body started to feel like it was sinking into the bed and suddenly, my heartrate skyrocketed. It was beating so fast, i couldnt controll it, even though i wasnt scared, I couldnt help it from pounding in my chest. This caused me to wake up. I decided to try again, but it didnt work very well. this time, i didnt even enter SP. i knew my hands were in front of me but for some reason, I thought and kept feeling as if my hands were raised up in the air over my head. This was quite annoying so i had to move my arms just to make sure which caused me to wake up. I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to controll my heartrate?

All the advice I can give you is this: try, try again. It seems that you had a bit of success; I mean, some people don't even get to SP, and fall asleep far too soon. You're doing great. The only thing I can say is, you might have to try it many times before you will truly get the hang of it, and your body will comply. Perhaps your heartrate skyrocketed because you're excited? Or did you have any caffine before bed? Those are the only things I can think of to cause that.

Wowww. I just had my very first LD last night. I was doing a WILD and had entered SP. I started to get tired of waiting because nothing was hapening after a long time so i finaly thought about where i could have my dream. Then all of a sudden, i thought about being in a carpark. And my friend was with me. I told her that we had to keep running, and that we couldnt stop so that we had something to focus on in my dream. I thought to myself that if i kept running, my awakeness wouldnt get to me and that my real body woould drift off to sleep as i run. Eventualy, i ended up at the beach running. It didnt seem as vivid and real as expected. I knew i was dreaming and instead of feeling my body movement, i could only think it and i could feel my real self sleeping in bed. I woke up once every five minutes in SP and i just went back into my dream.

Congratulations. Also, as you may be wondering, vivity does increase with experience. Good job, and keep up the good work.
