      Unhappy

I've been trying to lucid dream for about 6 months now and all I've been able to do were 2 FILDS that lasted less than 30 seconds and 1 DILD that wasn't very clear. It does take me a long time to fall asleep which makes it harder to do techniques where you have to repeat things in your head, and thinking just keeps me up longer. does anyone know any techniques, because so far MILD, WBTB, and FILDS aren't really working for me.

I've done FILD. I heard that's considered a type of WILD but other than that, I haven't tried any WILDS. I dont think I really know how to do WILDs right

Sounds like you have the same problem as my friend - Slow Sleep Insomnia. It's a condition where you can fall asleep, it just takes very long and your mind gets distracted. If you have a problem keeping focused, perhaps try a simple breathing excercise to clear your thoughts while you lie in the dark? This also helps to relax you so you can sleep better. If you manage to get your thoughts under control, I'm pretty sure you could really make this Lucid thing work for you ^_^
