My first LD, + new to the forums.

Hello. I had my first LD last night.. Well, kinda. It was frankly aweful. I was at a grocery store (odd, I know) and everything 'was' ordinary. I remember the dream quite vivedly, although I dont remember having a body Anyway, I remember a stack of oranges (well, not quite normal) and then I realized I was conscious. I walked around, and then woke up after about 10 seconds, because I couldn't think of anything to do, and I was extremely excited. OH WELL, I hope to have another tonight, I'll try some of the tips on the website.

First time I can truthfully say that I want to go to bed.. LD may help me get to bed earlier too. I like(d) staying up till around midnight and getting up at like 5:00am, because I felt like I was wasteing time sleeping. Now maybe I can sleep a bit more

      Hey Adam

I've had serval dreams where I would wake up on the realization that I'm dreaming, it's very very annoying!

I once had a dream where I thought "this is something that would happen in my dreams!" I was so stupid! I didn't even do a reality check!!

      Anyways, keep it up

In order to have consistant Lucid Dreams you need persistance. Without it its probable that you wont do so well. I guess that goes for life too. Good luck on future Ld's

Hey congrats on your lucid! Over time you'll be more accustomed to not getting too excited and have more control. Keep at it.

      WELCOME ADAM!!!!!

As you progress you will learn to keep cool once you realize that you are dreaming. Also, if you feel the dream fading then I recommend you try rubbing your hands, spinning, focusing on your hands, grabbing on to something, or anything else that might work for you...

Give it some time, and good luck
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

First time = beginners luck I guess.

Well, I've slept two more times since my first LD, and haven't gotten another.

Anyway, I have a problem. I cant ever remember any dreams. On average, I remember 1 each month, and that is usually because I slept way in, and then was suddenly awakened. Do you suggest I set my alarm clock 210 minutes after I go to bed? (two 100 minute cycles + 10 minutes for getting to bed)

Any other tips? Plus, can't access any melatonin because I'm 14
