      Introduction

      Hello,

I have just learned of this forums from one of my friends and am interested mainly about anything thats either un-explainable or illogical that people have experienced. I have been aware of several phenomena that exist including lucid dreams, and i have also tried several techniques a few years ago to try to induce lucid dreams to no avail. I have personally had several precognitive dreams when i was in my teens, but since finishing high-school, nothing of the sort has happened.
One of the main reasons i am re-interested in this is because several people has suggested that you are able to converse with your own sub-concious, and i know for a fact that i have deducted that i have several personality stereo types that i can take on, so i think it would be interesting on how my sub-concious mind would take on appearances to my concious mind.

I am now looking through the tutorials for anything that i have missed, and i would be greatful for any tips from any user on this forums. Thanks in advance.

      Welcome.

When I spoke to my subconscious in a LD, I made it angry. I don't recommend pissing it off - I struggled with my dreams for some time after that.

Other than that, you could argue that some dream characters are personified by your subconscious - making them aspects of it.
Often they know (or pretend to know) a lot about lucid dreaming and the dreaming world - which can be amusing or interesting.

Have you heard of a 'Dream Guide' ? (no, not a staff member of this site)
They're something like a 'Spirit Guide', but it's a dream character that takes a lot of effort in teaching and helping you.
I don't have one personally, but I've heard of others who do.
They usually claim to be spirit beings, aliens or something equally insane. They're likely to be personifications of the subconscious too.

It would be interesting to see what my sub-concious looks like, because i know that there are at least 3 different types of personalities that i can experience and show to the world, each one being largely different to the world. The one i usually am is a quiet and logical person. (mainly from being a programmer). The other ones are opposites from each other. They are being extremely happy and outgoing to being depressed / isolated and partially angry. Even one of my friends thought i was bi-polar for a while because of how i reacted to everyone.

So i think it would be interesting to see what my 'inner-persona' would be, and it if is either a single representation of myself, or rather multiple representations with different personalities.

Also on a side note, i have experienced a particular feeling numerous time when trying to sleep or upon waking up. This feeling is like i have been falling hit the ground, but i am still in my bed. Would this be a side effect of any dream related issues, or just a random occurrence that keeps happening to me?

I believe that's a side effect of sleep paralysis and some hypnopompic experiences (look it up )
I also get the feeling like I'm embedded in the mattress, and very heavy.
