      Hi to all

Hello, I'm a student from the UK, and I've become very interested in lucid dreaming, as I've never had one before and it sounds interesting. I hope this site can help me achieve that. I won't actually be starting for a couple of weeks though, as I have exams coming up and I'd rather not interfere with my sleep in the mean time. After exams though I have a 3.5 month period with nothing much to do, the perfect time to do this. This post is really just to say hi for later.

      Welcome,

Sometimes it takes awhile to get the 1st LD. Don't give up! Read up on techniques and Reality checks and you should be fine. Good Luck!

      Hi sybot,

Welcome to the forum. Question: Im curious. Do people camp out and fish in England? I guess its just something Ive always wondered about.

      Welcome to the forum Sybot!

I think it's very wise that you're waiting til your exams are over before attempting to lucid dream as sometimes stress can interfer with even non-lucid dream recall (and what fun would it be to achieve having a lucid dream if you can't remember it)?!

Be sure and let us know what problems you may be having in your lucid attempts and we'll do our best to offer you solutions!

Thanks for all the responses. Amusingly, the night after I found this site I actually had a couple of dreams (not lucid) that I could remember in the morning. If I had actually started keeping a dream journal I could have recorded them . Oh well, its a good sign for when I start doing it properly.

Yes, people do camp and fish (although I've nver actually been fishing). I don't know why you'd get the idea that we didn't...

ey, I feel yuh with the end of school bit, school always seems to put a damper on getting to know our minds doesn't it?

Since you don't want to get into the challenge of lding right now, I recommend you set your alarm 15 minutes before you need to wake up everyday to give you time to at least document your nonlucid dreams. I personally find this to be easy if I have my journal (or piece of paper or whatever) by my bed with these specific questions written on it:
      where?:
      with whom?:
      doing what?:
      impossible/unlikely happenings (dream signs_):

Well...I have returned and I hopefully I can put a bit more effort in this time. The problem was that my dream recall was so bad, I lost heart after a while and gave up. I'm in a much better frame of mind these days, so hopefully I'll do better.

Thanks for the advice jamous, even if the thanks comes seven months too late
