      Recall level

Last night was the first night that I really put these things into practic and kept a dream journel. Normally my DR is terrible, like I'm lucky to remember 3 a month.

But I "tried" to tell myself to remember my dreams and such before bed, it was hard cause I have ADHD so I had to fight to keep my mind on topic.

When I first fell asleep I did have a dream, I just dont remember what it was yet, I tried laying there and remembering, unfortunatly it took me a moment to remember and so I moved and briefly opened my eyes. As I was trying to remember I fell asleep again and this time I had a fairly vivid and long dream.

But it was also very, I guess I wanna say fragile. I can even remember how I was feeling very well, I was nervous and could even feel myself shaking. the reason being we were playing some sort of pool game and all the girls were in the pool and they had to get out and kiss a boy (dont remember under what circumstance) but I was the only boy there. I saw two of them get out and walk up to me and as the first one leaned over and tried to kiss me I could feel all substance just vanish. I could no longer feel myself, her, or anythings presence, it was like we all became intangible, only lasted a second though before I woke up. This one I remembered with very little effort though.

Would you say thats a good sign? Cause I've heard people say things along the lines of that remembering their feelings in a dream was harder then remembering the dream itself. Or would you say that just depends on the individual?

Well it's definitely progress, if you set out to remember dreams and you did. All you have to do is keep at it and you should have no problem with it. As for dream signs, I don't know. I personally don't use them, my dreams don't have any common factors I find.

Ranger85, anything you can remember is a good sign!

I'd also say it very much depends on the individual. Some people just remember snippets of their dreams.. others remember volumes, some just remember images while others remember feelings. There is no right way (or one way) to remember or journal about your dreams.

To be truthful I was kind of skeptical about the dream journal helping with recall. But after hearing a better explanation, that its kind of like training your mind that dreams are important and such. I understood better. And I must say that even though I've only been doing it for a couple days, I've remembered at least a dream every night when before I was lucky to remember 1 a month. That in itself makes it a success.
