Glad to be a member, quick question..

I have been lurking around here for a couple weeks and have been interested in lucid dreaming for quite some time.

I often have dreams where something will be happening and I will tell those DCs around me to "relax, I've had this dream before". It happens all the time and I never become lucid from it. Sometimes I will tell people in my dreams that you can't read. I will then demonstrate this, thus proving its a dream. It never clicks tho..

On to my question. Last night while falling asleep i was passively paying attention to the images before my mind. Well before some time i realized that the images were a complete environment. I could explode cars and such. It wasn't real vivid. Kinda like a picture taking at night. Lots of grain in the image. Anyways, after playing around for a short time the images vanished and i awoke completely. What was this? And am I close to attaining lucidity?

Thank you and I look forward to participating in this community.

Lol I think you just had yourself a Lucid Dream. If you were aware that you were exploring cars and such then yes you could of just had yourself your first lucid dream. And you obtained it by having a WILD. Well many people have had your problem were they should of had a lucid dream from a trigger like I have had this dream before or proving that a DC can't read etc, but unless it doesn't click for you and trigger a LD then not much can't be done. Looks like if you did a reality check and actually said to yourself I am dreaming and then became aware your problem could be solved.

Oh and welcome to the site ^_^

Think about what you just said, during the day, as often as you can. Every time you think about it do a reality check and honestly question whether or not you are dreaming. That way - the next time it happens in a dream - you'll be able to recognize it for what it is.

In other words, purposely create that scenario in your mind (or reflective thoughts of that scenario) during the day and train yourself to associate that kind of thought with reality checks.
