      Hi everyone

Hi everyone. Im glad to join a group so dedicated to dreams and lucid dreaming. I find that most people dont have the type of dream experiences I have and it is hard to find people to talk about them without thinking Im crazy/weird. So here is a little about my dreams...

My interest with dreams has stemed from my childhood. Some of my earliest memories of that time was dreams. I have always had the ability to remember my dreams. They have always come to me in full color and in very vivid detail. Ever since I was a kid and even to this day, when someone wakes me up I jump. Its both embarassing and a little funny to me. I explain to people that witness it that is not because Im scared or feel like someone is going to get me (the general response), its because it is like Im being ripped from one reality to another. I know, I know, sounds wack doesnt it? My dreams are just that vivid. I dont remember my first lucid dream. It happened so long ago I forget. I have had lucid dreams atleast once a month since I can even remember. Some of my earliest memories of becoming lucid, I can remember getting a huge rush, almost like going off the first hill on a roller coaster. Excitement that I was dreaming yet, was not awake. I would fly, do stupid shit like make light sabers (huge star wars fan as a kid), and even come to terms with some of my nightmares while I was lucid.

It has only been recently, that I have took it to the next "level." I have been keeping a dream journal (at first writen and now audio) for a couple of years now. I have found that both non-lucid and lucid dreams are very important and can tell you alot about yourself, whats really going on in your life, and the world in general. Like I said, I remember every dream, but nothing is like an at the moment log of everything that happened. I dont find it necessary for lucid dreaming or dream remembrance but it is helpful.

Where do I start with my lucid dreaming experiences? I wont go into to much detail and if I explained it all, lets just say, I could write a book. I have done alot of research and alot of reading. I can have a lucid dream at will. I can do a WILD and/or a MILD or what ever the books/websites call it. I can fall asleep with my mind focused and lucid. I can have lucid dreams everynight if I wish, however, I usually choose not to because I think non-lucid dreams are just as important. I beleive being lucid everynight is all about your intent. I have atleast one lucid dream per week without trying. Even in my non-lucid dreams it seems I have a touch of lucidity (ie. super natural powers such as flying, walking through walls, and can wake myself when things get unpleasant). I have experienced all 5 senses while dreaming lucid and non. Site and sound are a norm (I would think) but I have also experienced taste, smell, and touch (PAIN and PLEASURE). In my lucid dreams I have asked questions (big and small), asked characters and even inanimate objects what they symbolize, manipulated my dreams to try to gain better control, and helped myself get over fears, just to name a few. Beleive it or not, some of my lucid and non-lucid dreams have also been prophetic. I would say maybe 1 out of 50 dreams are, but when it happens it gives me the heeby jeepies.

I have had a weird and interesting time with my dreams and Im glad to find a place where I can share them. I hope to be a good addition to your community.
