Hey guys new at this, have a couple Q's

I have derealization, it's like a disorder where everything in daily life feels like a dream instead of reality. So right now while i'm typing this, I feel like im in a dream or in some sort of 24fps movie.

Now will any of these techniques you guys use to induce lucid dreams affect daily life? Are there any complications to using this "WILD" method? I don't want to make my problem worst but I am interested in Lucid dreaming and had no idea that it can be manually induced.

Can someone give me a quick walk thru about what I should know?

Thats a good question, I've only lucid dream'd with WILD's a couple of times. I'd wait for someone more experince to answer you, or ask your doctor.

Well, lucid dreaming is a relatively new field. And I think that no one can assure you that it won't make your condition worse. I guess there is a chance that it can.
But lucid dreaming is quite hard to achieve, so if you feel that it's making it worse, you can simply stop practicing, and then you would go back to having normal dreams, and hopefully the worsend derealization will get back to how it was before you started practicing.

Hi. Welcome to Dream Views Derealization.

I don't know much about your condition or how serious it's effects are on your waking life so all I'm going to say is perhaps it's best if you take Sterling's advice first of all.

Then, forget about WILDing for now. I think it's far more important for you to work on clearly differentiating wake and dreams.

Instead of WILDing start dream journaling and reality checking often. The reality checks will help you to discover if you're dreaming or not. Work on that before diving into WILDing or any other lucid dream techinque.
