Thread: control in regular dreams

by regular dreams i mean the ones which play out like a story over which you have no control, anyway my question is this.

last night i had a dream, at one point i was looking at a magazine and then just decided to look at the cover in more detail, I mean i actually CHOSE to scan the cover of this magazine without even realizing i was in a dream and without ever having any real experiences with lucid dreams.

Is this possible or did it just seem like i had a choice in the matter?

edit: yes i know i have several dreams a night, and YOU know that when i say i had a dream it means i remembered a dream.

The defenition of a Lucid Dream is a dream where-in you are conscious of the fact that you are dreaming. You can have dreams where you control certain aspects, but never realize you're dreaming.

I have many dreams where I make decisions and choices, but don't know I'm in a dream.

So, to answer your question: yes, you can make decisions or have some control in a dream, even if it isn't lucid.

It is totally possible to have loads of control in regular dreams and not be lucid. I've done a lot of crazy superhero type stuff in dreams and never realized it was a dream.

You can have amazing dream control without lucidity. You can have an amazing amount of lucidity without absolutely no dream control. I know this from personal frustrating experience.

But here's to hoping you get some lucidity with control.
