Thread: Lucid Dreaming: The Quest Begins...

Imagine waking up in the morning, just like any morning..The sun shining brightly through your windows, the birds chirping, kids laughing and playing outside...A typical morning..You go about your daily rutine, whatever it maybe and your about to walk out the door when you realize that your still in bed sleeping, and whats really going on is just all a dream......

That my friends is what they call a False Awakening.

False Awakening aka F/A: The assumption you have woken up from sleep going about your day when you realize you are dreaming and still sleeping...

Now Imagine the moment you realize you are dreaming..For the first time for that matter...Excitement hits you, your blood starts bumping, hearts pounding, you miswell begin to sweat while your at it...But you remember something, you tell yourself "Stay Calm"..

A few seconds pass and you finally calm yourself.. You decide to look at your hands and the fine details of each finger to get better vividness of your surroundings...You look away from your hands at the world you created..Everything is great, vivid, and as real looking as waking life..But how, how can this be so??

Standing there just outside your frontdoor, the kids you heard earlier playing outside come up to you...A little girl, looks to be about six years of age, brown hair, brown eyes...white shirt, white shorts and white sox..it seems her brother is there with her..He is about seven years old, black shirt, black shorts, black shoes and sox...

The girl looks at you with sad eyes, almost as if she could begin to cry..you stand there wondering what is on her mind..without you speaking a word, she begins talking...

"My mommy needs help....she is down the street...can you help her please?"

You stand there confused....How could she of possibly known what i was thinking?? Then the boy in black speaks out..

"There is some other kids down at the end of the block..One of the kids is a real geek, i say we go push him in the mud and take his money...what do you say?"


Your mind begins to race fast, your choice to follow one of the kids will have a consequence...good or bad..Your mind staggers on which one to follow, your almost about to snap, then it hits you....

"If you'd excuse me...But this is my dream..."

You stick out your finger, at both of them, and say "VANISH!"

In a blink of an eye they are both gone..You stand on your porch just outside your front door, with full vividness of your dream world that you have created...A smile comes across your face, you tell yourself outloud

"I did it..I finally had my first Lucid Dream!"

You hold your smile on your face for another brief moment...You let out a sigh and walk down the steps taking a look around at the world that lies ahead....What happens in this world is up to you....Good, or Bad...Your Quest, Finally Begins...

Inspired By: New comers into Lucid Dreaming and for all the "I've had my First Lucid Dream" posts I have read..Probably my favorite thing to read on this forum..

Hope this inspires those who have yet to have their 1st...In the end, dont give up, you will conquer...
