      Weird Night.

Hey, I'm pretty new to this and have been beggining to give Lucidity some research. It was until last night that I was skeptic and unbelieving of and if Lucidity was actually possible, but in turn, what happened confused me greatly.

The night started as usual, with a normal dream, and one that I didn't quite understand. As the beginning dream came to a close, a new one started, in an empty stadium type scenario, where it felt like, I was there and able to control the scenario, but, not fully. I believe I was waking up throughout the night, very quick before going back to sleep.

Then, I decided that I would try to move to my house, with a bunch of my school friends. It worked. What was weird though, is that certain aspect of me trying to do things would fail, while major things such as moving would. Lightswitches were working in my dream, and everything seemed 50/50 control wise.

Which leads me to my question. Was I ACTUALLY having a lucid dream or was I having a normal dream about having lucidity, and what I would be doing in lucidity, like a normal dream?

After the dreams that I believed I had control in, I went back into a normal dream.

      I would enjoy any feedback.

      Hi and welcome,

Personaly, I don't believe that it's possible to dream about lucidity. To have a lucid dream it means to be aware that you are dreaming. If you were aware, then you had a LD. But it's true that there are many levels of lucidity. In some you are very confident and sure, then in some you might have doubts. Having control in a dream doesn't mean you're lucid and having a lucid dream doesn't necessarily mean that you have control.

      Hope I helped.

Hi and welcome to Dream Views.
Becoming lucid in a dream means you know you are dreaming. I've had many dreams too where I had crazy control yet I wasn't actually aware I was in a dream.

If you were aware it was a dream then you were lucid.
If you had control but didn't actually realize you were in mid dream, it wasn't a lucid.
