Thread: Poseidon killed me! Was it an LD?

Yesterday afternoon i had a very strange dream while having a little nap...

actually there are three parts but the third one is the important one... there you go:

i'm in an assymetric room (5 or 6 corners... it changes its form unsteadily) with two friends of mine. The walls are kept in a dark color and in the middle is a pool filled with water. In the water there is a strange poligonic (?) thing with a wavy both gold and milky-white structure on it. Around the pool there are three objects looking like a goblet/bowl made of gold. Each of them has a piece of gilded cutlery in it. the first one a knife, second one a fork and the third one is a spoon -although after recalling the dream it looks like a fork with just two teeth (<-- is this the right word?)-. I tell my friends to grab one of the pieces on my command, i'm standing in front of the strange spoon. 3... 2.. 1... go and we grab it.

Suddenly the whole room starts trembling, the water in the pool seethes and the gold-milkywhite-structured object is transforming into a tall human form. The being becomes a stereotypical version of Poseidon (the ancient Greek God of the sea) bearing his trident, but is skin is gilded. As soon as the transformation is completed he starts looking at me, very very furiously. I'm almost shitting bricks (sorry to use such an expression, but i felt really anxious) and turn back in order to flee as fast as i can.

Some seconds later I realise that I have to fight him because it was me who awakened him and besides i abandonned my friends. So I return and face up to that Poseidon-Creature. He's still looking furiously at me and before i realise it, he hits me that hard that i fall over... and then i'm feeling how I gradually get unconscious... I feel like I'm loosing the feeling in my arms and legs... my senses begin to fade... I really felt like I was dying, as far as I can tell
Suddenly, I'm standing in front of the entrance of a cinema the two friends mentioned before are standing beside me and we're discussing about how the end of the could end in a better way... (<-- it was all a film, with me as the protagonist?? ) then we're looking at the cinema-program which consists a lot of text (very unusual). It's hard to read because the words are floating to other parts of the text and finally it gets all confused... I'm thinking that can't be and am telling me "stay calm, don't get in a hurry" then *swish* and I'm awake...

I think I had a short moment of a lucid dream or at least it was the beginning of one... However, even more important is the experience that I consider as death... it was very scary, particularly because I think I've seen the real-me lying paralysed in the bed or then it was at least the dream-me I've seen... have some of you had a similar experience concerning a feeling of being dead?
And another thing is that my mind provided a very strange explanation of the situation after my "death"... it was all a movie... somehow strange, isn't it?
