      Hello Everyone

      Hi, Im Illusion.

First off I would like to say this site has loads of useful information and looks friendly. Im always quite shy on forums and rarely post. But I have been keeping a dream journal for a few days now. Remembering a few bits of one dream each night. I have also been reading information on this site the last few days. I have never heard of lucid dreaming before and have no recollection of ever having one. I was searching for information on dreaming for some school work when I came across lucid dreaming. I looked at a few sites, this one looked the best to me.

I only have a couple of questions.

Firstly, how many lucid dreams do you have a month?

Secondly, how long does it take to have vivid lucid dreams?

      Thanks,

      Illusion

Hi Illusion, welcome, and don't be shy! No one can say how long it will take you to have vivid lucid dreams or how many you'll have, everybody is different. Some people hear about lucid dreaming and have one that night simply because they know it can be done. For others it may take days, weeks, months, or even years.

      Illusion, welcome to Dream Views!

Mes Tarrant answered your questions quite accurately! I think the biggest mistake one can make is to have a preconceived notion of when they should be able to lucid dream based on someone else's ability. To do so may lead to frustration as everyone is different.

My advice would be to read all you can and to ask as many questions as you like and to find your own lucid "rhythm".

You may wish to review the Newbie Zone Guide for helpful information about this site: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=36723

You may also wish to check out the Tutorials forum which contains information on the various lucid dreaming techniques: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=25.

If you should have any questions, please ask and we'll do our best to get you answers!

Now that you found us .. may your journey towards lucid dreams begin!

Well, I have only been trying for well err 3 1/2 weeks to be exact. I haven't had any until up to a week ago. And since then, I've had 3 more! So 4 in a week, so i can't really tell you a monthly rate. Oh and I have had several before knowing what an LD was. So I just counted since I've been training.

Thanks for the reply's! Last night I was able to remember alot more than any of the previous nights. The dream was also slighty more vivid, I think it was because I slept in until 9 something. I usually get up at 7:00. Although I did set my alarm to wake me up at 3:30, 5:00 and 7:00. I couldnt remember anything at those times. Is this normal because I was tired?

oh and I will try not to be shy

      Thanks again,

      Illusion
