      erm... hi

Hello everyone. I just have a few questions about lucid dreaming, or more or less how to attain it.
You see, i have what might be a minor problem, and what may have been brick-walling my efforts for the past month. I have a very mild form of Aspergers Syndrome (better if you wiki it instead of google it ), and i was just wondering, could this be an issue in attaining it?
Other than that, am i right in my knowledge that dream recall is the first stage? If so then i've always had good dream recall, and i've even made a dream diary to prove it. I can remember all my dreams for the past half a year (part of the aspergers!), but all other bits of information i've found on the net is conflicting.

I would also like to know under what circumstances lucid dreaming can take place, such as if... oh i dunno... you have a certain light on or off. Thats just curiosity on my part though

oh, and i also forgot to mention, does an analytical mind serve as an aid or a hindrance, as well as a hightened spatial awareness?

      Hey! welcome to the forums

Now im not a doctor, so i cant answer your first question. But about your second one, yes Dream Recal is the first step to lucid Dreaming. And there are tons of diffrent circumstances it can be attained under. Check out the "attaining lucidity" and "Lucid Aid" forums to see more. And about your last question, not sure about this one either. But no one knows what lucid dreaming really "is" of sourts, weither its something spiritual, or just somthing in your mind, is the opinion of the dreamer itself.

      Happy dreams,

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I dont really know the answers to your questions so i'll let others cover them. I will just point out that worrying that Aspergers will prevent you from having lds will probably do more to prevent them than the Aspergers itself does (if that made sense). I read over the wiki and it seemed like problems that alot of people have to some extent. If you are having dreams and remembering them then having lds shouldnt be a problem. I wonder if lds could actually help you with Aspergers by allowing practice in real world situations (the conditions on the wiki were extensive and varied but some included communications) such as how people use lds to practice public speaking or musical performances. Anyway welcome again and goodluck.

ah now i do like a quick response, and thank you everybody. I can see what ThePhobiaViewed point is, that worrying about aspergers will prevent me from attaining it, but i am accepting of it and i actually find it liberating. It gives me a small sense of detachment from reality so i can view current events from an unbiased perspective.
Also i have literally just tried between the time of my first post and this one to passively wild, and almost immediately i could feel a sense of light-headedness and almost a feeling of falling over, but i didn't want to go any furthur.
What should i do though if i do reach a lucid dream state, and what can i expect to see straight away?

Well, I have not tried wilding myself, but if you do reach a lucid dream state, immeditaly calm yourself, if you get too excited the dream will end. Also, if the dream is not very stable, try staring at your hands or somthing of sorts, to stabalize the dream. And its GREAT that you reached that lightheaded feeling, i think that was the beginning of SP. And im not sure what you will see straight away, but depending on the place, it might look like reality.
