Was it LD? Need some help here.

I had weird experience last night and I think it was my first lucid dream, but I might be wrong. Hopefully someone can help me out with it here.
So I was asleep and dreaming like normal about my old town, I was at some street and I had to go somewhere, it was dark and it felt like it was semi-nightmare dream but all of the sudden, while I was standing I looked at my left arm and said to myself in dream "I think I am dreaming, its not real", as soon as I said it, something weird happened, its like I became semi-conscious and could think and move at will, my dream became more vivid and I got a bit scared, because I never experienced it before. For some reason I thought I was lucid dreaming and I went further down the street and first thing I wanted to try to fly, I did take off from the ground but I could barely control myself. Also in a dream I saw my old apartments but they didnt look exactly the same, I tried to get in there thru the window but I couldnt fly that high since it was on 3rd floor. I saw some hot chick on street and tried talking to her and thats when I started to lose my lucid if I can call it that. I tried to concentrate but everything became blurry and dark just like when you close your eyes and I pretty much woke up. When I woke up I could tell that my body wasnt moving for long period of time, its like I was locked when I was asleep, and I usually dont do it because I change my sleeping position alot. So I just went to get some water and felt asleep again but I didnt have the same experience, I was dreaming with regular dream. I cant really describe that feeling while I had this dream but it felt like nothing before.
I dont know if it was really lucid dream or I was just sleeping and dreaming about it, but when I woke up I knew I had to go to this website and read more on it. I used to be interested in LD but never tried it only after today it got me wondering more, I liked the experience. But what surprises me is I cant remember that dream very well its all blurry in my mind right now, arent you supposed to remember LD very well? If anyone call tell me what was that, just very vivid dream or lucid dream? I really want to try it again now and probably will stick to this site.

I believe it's called semi-lucid? Being aware that you're dreaming but not being able to think clear or controll your dream (As much as you usually can).
