      Completely new, need help

I read the whole tutorial thing, and I just wanted to confirm some stuff.

So tonight, when i go to sleep, just focus on remembering all my dreams befre I go to bed, and write all of them in a log.

Then, after a few weeks, I am supposed to look at my logs and notice something that occurs in my dreams a lot.

Then next time I am in a dream, when i notice that certain thing, I can realize I am in a dream?

It sounds awesome, and by the way i am doing this because I am looking to have sex with a lot of people haha and I also want to fly and shoot fireballs and stuff

Your plan sounds about right, but you might want to try a couple other techniques, along with keeping a log. It's never good to rely on just one thing.

Try not to get over worked up about getting your first few Lucids. You'll get better success if you just go with the flow, so to speak.

      Good luck!

Not a bad plan, but i skipped the whole log thing when i had my first LD. Also, if it is a nightmare (God forebid) It will 99.9% most likley freak you out... don't scream

Sounds good but you should add a WBTB technique with all of that. Set an alarm for like 4-6 hours after falling asleep. You can do a WILD technique then too and if it fails you still have a chance for a DILD!!

Current Goals: Try dream drugs. Perform a FILD at this hotel i'm staying at..

Welcome to Dreamviews. What you are talking about doing is basically the MILD technique.

Yes, that's one technique. Actually two because you're talking about keeping a dream journal; Good. Plus you're talking about "remembering" to remember, and recognise, dreams. That's MILD.

Then next time I am in a dream, when i notice that certain thing, I can realize I am in a dream?
      The very essence of MILD.

I'd definitely consider the things others have said, such as WBTB + WILD, to broaden your horizons. But, hey, you've got direction already so you're on the right track. Certainly keep doing what you said. Those are the two basics and make the best foundation for any beginner, in my opinion. Best of luck.

      I have another question

How do you know you have completely woken up when a lucid dream ends? Reality checks just like the ones in lucid dreams?

I fear I may lose touch with reality or something.

Yeah, just do a reality check.

Actually, you probably should make it a habit to do a reality check upon waking, just in case it's a false-awakening.

It is weird that you mention that, because I went to sleep only thinking abut rememberig my dreams last night, and althoug i remember small fragments of a bunch of them, I only remember one pretty good - the false awakening.

I woke up after a weird dream (I dont remember the contents) and I grabed my log and was about to write in it. Only theres was math written all over the page! (Like calculus and stuff). I am pissed now because it was a lucid dream and I havent practiced reality checks because i only discovered this yesterday....dahm I could have done it in one shot!

Urgh, it always gets to me this. How so many people seem to just want sex from it. there's so much more than sex and action.
Get sex in real life. It's better.
No offence in any way, I just think alot of people take a very shallow view on LD'ing.

Although I suppose if it's all you want you can..
but remember the potential other than sex and violence yeah?
