Hi,
Ive been following lucid dream articles and forums for awhile now, but havent put major effort into really forcing a lucid dream. I havent had any before, but last night I think I had two in quick succession, but was just interested in asking a few questions as to whether these were proper/traditional lucid dreams

I dont have very good dream recall ability, dont remember most of mine at all, and if I do only fragments. This was the same for last night, from what I recall I had one short semi-lucid type dream and then a longer more full experience after.

For the first one I remember something about being trapped somewhere, however I was quite sure that I was aware that I was dreaming, and was very pissed of that my dream was trapping me. Think I tried doing some sort of superpower type stuff to escape but to no avail.

After that I had my second one, where I pretty much immediately realised I was in a dream, and quickly proceeded to try out flying. I did a few other things throughout it, I remember trying to problem solve, possibly by asking fictional characters. At some point I tried imagining someone I was interested in irl...then stopped that little experiment - apparently dream me was smart enough to realise that prolly wasnt a good idea :p. Throughout this dream I got this constant feeling of WOW, that its actually happening sorta thing!

I didnt immediately recall these when I woke up, must have been shortly after. I didnt get the same feeling of 'omg awesome' that I did during the dream, but I did *remember* that in the dream I had felt this. (in contrast with most dreams where Im more of an observer / emotionless ).

Is it common to have such limited recall of lucid dreams? Also any ideas on how to build on this experience without doing lots of sleep timing/journalling?

Thanks
