      Questions I need answered

Hi, I'm not really new to the forum, i'm pretty much just a lurker. I have been into lucid dreaming for about a week and I had my first lucid one two days ago. I have some questions that I need answered that I have wondered about during my adventure.

      1. Ever since I was very little I was always able to become lucid during a nightmare and wake myself up. I've come to realize the easiest dreams for me to become lucid in are nightmares, why is that?

      2. I've started keeping a DJ and been trying to get stuff in it everynight, however i get a bit frustrated when i cannot recall any of my dreams from last night because how can i improve my dream recall when i can't put anything in it.

      3. I tried Wilding last night and i feel that i was extremely close to having an LD. I entered SP and lights started flashing like crazy. Then it got really wierd because my body got all twitchy and my eyes started flicking rapidly. Is this the final stage of Wild? And also i usually need to swallow during a Wild attempt, can i do that?

I'll post more if i can think of any. Thanks for any of the help you can provide.

1: Not sure, someone else can answer that.

2: Vitamin B6 will increase dream recall, but the problem is that you are moving. You dream memory is different from your short term memory and the instant that you move your brain switches which section it's using. Lay perfectly still and replay the dream in your head, this copies it from dream memory into short term memory.

3: You were entering REM, you were very close to a WILD. Yes, everything I've read said that you can swallow, even though I've never done it.

A few young children realise they are dreaming during nightmares yet waste these moments on trying to awake from the dream rather than something more constructive. I suppose that this is some kind of defense mechanism?

      Hey P1nhead,
Check this Nightmare Tutorial. It might help you to solve your nightmare problem.

If you are keeping a Dream Jounal and you couldnt remember, its ok just keep on doing it because soon you're going to be suprise of your dream recalling ability! Just make sure, when you wake up, try to relax and ask yourself, 'What was i dreaming about?'. Usually, i just put my notebook under my pillow and before i went to bed, i will tell myself...
''Im going to remember my dream when i wake up'', and after a week or so, your mind will get use to it!

Take a look at this DREAM RECALL guide for further understanding.

As for SP, you just need to calm down, i did have the same problem at 1st where i was afraid that if i move, im going to ruin my chance of LD'ing but after doing further research, i found that.....
Its ok to SWALLOW, just do it and later on forget about it.
A tiny movement isnt going to affect your sleeping process unless you think about it too much.
During the Sleep Paralysis. You're body is will switch into shutdown mode and
this event occur everyday, its just that our mind was already asleep at that moment. As soon as your vibration begin to get stronger, you will start to see the HYPHNOGOGIC IMAGES.
During this point, do not...i repeat do not look directly at those flashy images because it either tend to trick into falling asleep or wake you up. Just try and look down instead of looking directly at it. Ive tried it multiple times, and it seems to work well for me.

      Here are the guides:

      1.SLEEPING PARALYSIS.(SP)
      2.HYPNOGOGIC IMAGES.(HI)

So, Just keep on trying...but not so Hard, just keep in mind that you will have a lucid dream and say it over and over again! and soon, when it happened you will go nuts!

For the final word, try reading more about LD and the related topic because this is the knowledge that will continue to expand beyond limit and it last forever!

      Good Luck!

(P/M me if you have any question and we will work on it together)

      Welcome to the forum

      1) It's most likely your way of trying to "defend" yourself at an early age, because well children are affected by nightmares and your body wanted to reassure you that you are safe.

      2) Apart from recording dreams, you can record the emotions and feeling from after the dream.

      3) Yeah that's pretty close to a WILD.
