      1st (Partially) Lucid Experience

      Hi everybody!

      Finally!

      Thought I'd post my 1st LD (via DILD) on here like everyone does -

      ---
      My dream started of with various elements where I was totally non-lucid. These involved Bill Gates and physciatrists amongst other things. Then the flooding came. The 'community centre' I was in with my family started flooding (as have some parts of my country have). I found myself 'swimming' through the floods down roads etc. with my family. I found my mind drifting away from the repetitive swimming motion and gradually realised I was dreaming. At this point the water/roads/surroundings faded. I still could hear the sounds, and feel the air. I tried not to get over-excited. I did the 'held-nose' reality check and found I was indeed dreaming. I rubbed my hands together to try and get the vision back and tried to visualise the surroundings. I could not. I decided to carry on swimming as it was not unplesant. Soon, I faded out of the dream and came back to reality...

      Well that was it - my 1st brief and weird encounter with (partial) lucidity!

      What do you make of it?

      Congratulations! Sounds like a very basic entry into lucidity to me I hope you can practice it further from now on!

      That sounds that a pretty basic first LD to me, good job.

      Weird I know right?!

      I'd been watching an interview with Bill Gates on TV before I drifted off and as for phsyciatrists ... I think that's when my mind got confused with the word "philanthropists"! .... Wow I'm going on!
