My name is Steven, I'm sixteen years old and live in Washington. I love music, writing, philosophy and any psychonautical pursuit available at my disposal. My essential reason for living is exploration and enhancement of the human mind.
I've memories from dreams stemming back very vividly to my days as a child. Each night for as long as I can remember, I've dreamed with intense clarity and perceived the events which happen to occur for several dream-hours each night, though I have and still do tend to allow their memory to slip by into oblivion. Strangely enough, dreams will sporadically come to my memory, ones from the most random and distant times.
About a year ago, I was turned onto the idea of lucid dreaming by the magnificent film Waking Life, and upon realizing the amazing potential for understanding of self presented in the dreamworld I began to pay much closer attention to my unconscious psyche. I have had 8 or so lucid dreams in my lifetime, in two of them accomplishing successfully the action of flight, but in the rest being cut far short of anything productive before I woke up or lost lucidity. Never once have these been out of an attempt to reach lucidity, just moments in the realm of dreaming where I randomly decided to question my reality. Never have my attempts been successful.
With the forces of work and stress, I've had little drive to collect a journal of these dreams, but hopefully I can motivate myself, especially if in the company of others. Dreams are such an incredible Door in the Wall and it will be great to speak with others who understand this potential.
So, hi.
