      Arrow FLID, overlooked or what?

      Hello,

Although I am new I have been looking through the site quite a bit. I have come to the conclusion (even though I haven't experienced an LD) that it seems that a FILD would be the simplest and most effective method of inducing an LD. You don't get the SP and its side effects like a WILD and it happens within seconds. I guess the only fall back is realizing that you are having a FA but why doesn't this method get more attention? Is there something I am overlooking?

      Thanks

I think it really depends on what works best for you personally. If there was a "best" method that worked for everybody, it would just be "the method" (or at least be stickied on the main forum page). Some people can't succeed with some xILD techniques, but can with others. Really, they're all just different paths to the same destination: the LD. How you get there is all about finding the shortest, most reliable path for yourself.

I say try the methods you are most attracted to, and see what works. And always report back if you have any epiphanies. Your perfect technique might not be for everybody else, but it might help a few people who are struggling.
      LD Counter (as of 07.25.07) = 5 (2 WILDs)
Short-term goal: Recall three full dreams a night for a full week.
Long-term goal: Have three LDs per week for one month.
Longer-term goal: Have one six-hour LD every night! (Shooting too high? We'll see.)
Waking life goal: Round up some NPSG equipment to study my own sleep patterns.

I agree with you 100%. I have only had about 2 FILD's, but them seem to be very effective. I would definitely try to pursue this technique.

Do you not experience SP during a FILD? I have been reading about it and it seems quite bizaar and I really don't feel like experiencing it lol. Does it occur because your brain still has that DMT (maybe its DTM) drug flowing and you're awake so its like you're awake but under a super psychadelic (sp?). It just seems weird thats if its a bad SP then its always bad, barney is never standing beside your bed or anything nice like that lol. Also what if you just had your covers over your head, you wouldn't see the halucinations or just close your eyes, has anyone experimented with this in a lite room, I wonder if it would be better?
