      Before i get started...

The real reason i want to get to lucid dreaming is to find out a question that has been haunting me for years...

Before i get too far into lucid dreaming, i wanted to know if the mind can answer questions like this in lucid dreaming, or if there is some time of other psychic thing i should try to obtain this. I read somewhere that lucid dreaming helps with questions, but i just want to be sure.

      My question is:

(before i state it, i know everybody at one time has this feeling... well i think so atleast... and its kinda weird. so please no flaming or anything, i dont want to start crying hahaha)

I am 16 and i live in a little town of Wyoming. Along time ago, when i was about 6 or 7, i got this feeling for the first time. It was a feeling that, i wasnt supposed to belong where i was, and that what i was doing, wasnt what i should be doing. of course, i was only 6 so i didnt know what the feeling meant until about 6 years later when i got the same feeling back again (and had recognized it)

The feeling, i will describe. Its the feeling of wanting something, but then not wanting anything. When i get this feeling, its like im supposed to do something, and im not supposed to be here, in my bedroom or wherever the heck i am. Its like, im supposed to be doing something great, but i dont know what it is. the feeling commonly makes me sick, and i start to get really antsy and try to figure out everything. I found that i get this feeling more when there is a dark thunderstorm, but now more then ever, i have been getting this feeling ALOT, even when it is a nice sun shine day.

My question is, What the heck am i feeling? and why? am i supposed to be doing something else? or am i supposed to be staying here, doing nothing about it? the main feeling i want to know tho, is what the feeling just means. like what it realy makes my body want to do. i guess im confused (hence the name) and i want to get answers.

So i kinda got de-railed with my blabbering, but do you think that Lucid Dreaming would help me to find the meaning of this? If not, then what would help? If this isnt the place to ask, then im sorry and you can delete my post. i just want answers, and im very troubled over them, and i just want to get a way to find the answers i want.

Some other things that could help in deciding are..

im sure alot of people get this, but i have the numbers " 9 " and "11" appear to me alot. more then any other number, or any other object that is. and they are never together, as 911, so i know its nothing to do with the 911 attacks. and also, i have no family members (that i know of) that died in the 911 attacks. so i dont think it has to deal with that.

i can go into alot more detail about myself, but i dont think this is the right forum to do so.

im just asking, is Lucid Dreaming a way to figure out my questions?

thanks everyone who even cares to read my post ^^

      Welcome to Dreamviews, etc. etc.

I'm afraid I haven't experienced anything quite like what you described. However, would you describe it more as an notion of needing to be doing something, or a rather indescribable emotion?
The antsy feeling and thunderstorm correlation makes me think it may be a form of panic attacks, albeit subtle. I suffered from them for some time, and can relate some of the feelings to what you described.

I'm not one to pick apart a complex mental device, though, so on to your question:

Yes and no. I believe you can gain a huge amount from Lucid Dreaming. It is possible you could find an answer you are satisfied with in one of you dreams. I believe it is much more likely that you can be more at peace with yourself, and thus, with everything else. It is, after all, only perception!

You can learn a great deal about yourself through LD'ing, meditation as well. You seem one that would be very interested in Dream Guides: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ht=Dream+Guide

Should you choose to start, do NOT stress yourself out. This will ruin your LD'ing ability, and in general make things harder. Take it easy.

P.S. I don't know what to say about the number thing. Perhaps ask in the Beyond Dreaming section. I'm sure many people will 'suddenly recall' this strange phenomenon in their life. (Sorry if that sounded accusatory, but it's something I've noticed happening lately.)
Have you heard the gypsy hymns in the odd hours of the night?

wow, thanks for the big reply.

the feeling, idk. its really like i have to be somewhere, and im not there, so my boddy is telling me im not where im supposed to be. thats just what i think it is, although, im not 100% sure. its just the most explainable answer i can think of.

the whole thunderstorm thing, i dont think its panic attacks, but more of a mood setting for this feeling. like when its all dark and gloomy, and all of that, i get the feeling more often. i found also, when i go outside to look up at a great thunderstorm (this happend about a week ago), that i noticed the feeling that i had been holding in all day, vanished while i watched the lighting in the sky. but then once again, when i went back inside it faded away.

The thing im thinking of lucid dreaming is, once i obtain lucid dreaming, and can do it rather proffesionally, if i can somehow figure out if im supposed to be somewhere else doing something else, and if i can find out what it is that im supposed to be doing.

Dream guids... thats a new one. i will definatly post this topic in that section too, maybe i can find out some things there..

Actually, to the most part, im not a stressful guy. i am very calm and timmid, until i get upset, then im like a bat outa hell, but still, when im "normal" i am just calm and no stress is normally in my life (if i get stress, i work it out so i can reduce or get rid of it as quickly as possible). but even when im calm, i get the same feeling.

the feeling has grown to about twice a day or more...

Sounds like you are very confused! I would certainly give it a go. I have asked many questions in my dreams, and you subconscious can give you some fascinating answers! Because you are effectively answering your question, perhaps you could find out what this feeling is there for and why.
