Ok, last question that has me questioning.

People talk about when there in dreams, they say, am I dreaming and RC and stuff. Well, when I Dream I can't like say that cause Idk. Like I wake up in the morning and I remember the dream I don't remember the dream as its happening... Just sort of odd, lol.

Well, that's the point. If you do the RC method, it's subconscious. Your "dream self" does it without saying, I should check to see if this is a dream. Or, you just see something strange and say, this must be a dream, and you gain lucidity that way.

And that's why you came here: to learn how to realize you're dreaming.
      LD Counter (as of 07.25.07) = 5 (2 WILDs)
Short-term goal: Recall three full dreams a night for a full week.
Long-term goal: Have three LDs per week for one month.
Longer-term goal: Have one six-hour LD every night! (Shooting too high? We'll see.)
Waking life goal: Round up some NPSG equipment to study my own sleep patterns.

Ok, its all making alot of sence now. I thought that you knew you were dreaming but you were checking. But that made no sence cause then you would already be lucid, and your trying to become lucid again...

Ok, I think i'm done asking questions for today. You guys helped ALOT! I think i'm going to try a WILD tonight, I just have a feeling it will work. I'll post what happens tommarow.

      Thanks

      Awesome. Good luck!

Just remember, a WILD means you go straight from waking into a lucid dream. Since you dream in REM, and the first REM stage doesn't normally begin until 90 minutes after sleep onset, you can't do a WILD when you first go to bed (there are exceptions, like if you have a sleep-onset REM sleeping disorder or something, that's just a general rule). Most people will tell you that WILDs work best in the early morning hours, especially with the WBTB technique, since your REM cycles are closer together and easier to jump straight into from short awakenings. Clairity's tutorial gives a good overview.

      Sweet dreams!

Actually in a thread not too long ago I saw people saying that yes you already are questioning whether you are awake or dreaming and you do an RC just to be sure. It does make sense because you saw something that made you question it. Alot of times you just know you are dreaming without having to RC.
