      Previous paralysis!

Hey ive only just even heard about lucid dreaming today, and to be honest, im excited to go to sleep and get started logging my dreams in hope of LDing!

Although i do remember a week or two ago, when i had a very unhealthy sleep pattern... i woke up 4 o clock-ish, except im not sure wheather i was awake or not, i was laid on my back, shivering uncontrollably! i could move my eyes, but no other part of my body, almost asif id seized up. It felt asif i was constantly shifting between being awake and beiong alseep. But there was something almost nightmare-like about it, asif something evil was near. sounds silly i know :S?? It was a scary experience, but try as i might, i could not move!

Could i of possibly experienced some form of LDing but just not remember it, or did i SP? If it was the same experience some of you are comparing to when you WILD, i would not wish it upon myself agian.

Anyone able to clarify what happened?

      thankyou

It was SP. In most SP cases that have the feeling of an evil presence near by. It's very common and my myself had one of those too.

o does this at least mean i have the potential to LD fairly easily then ?

And also another question, surely your dream cant feel completely real can it?
Is it close to lifelike, or is it just like any other dream (that i remember of), where your almost a floating consciousnous inside a body ..with no sences?

Yeah, sp is actually a gateway to a LD. If you would of stayed calm you could of easily had a LD. But, for first timers and people who don't even know what SP is, I know its hard.

Yup SP deffinately, it happens most when you are exhausted which can be explained by the 4 in the morning sleep schedule :p

Alot of cases of SP tend to have an evil presence "old hag".

It does mean you can attempt a WILD with this.

dreams are completely lifelike, and when you realize you're dreaming, it becomes even more real. colors are more intense, and the detail is amazing. once I had a lucid dream about a place I'd never seen before and it was so beautiful I just sat there levitating, observing my mind's creation.

I dont think "Old Hag" Happens how you think it does. I dont think it has anything to do with the Exorcist. It's when your in SP and you see a lady sitting next to you. You hallucinate while in SP.

Old hag is the evil presence, not necessarily a lady. Just more of the feeling of evil, although alot of the time is tends to be somewhere "there" with you.

woahh this stuff sounds pretty intense

is it an almost god like feeling, knowing that you have complete control over everything
      im grinning thinking about it

i will have to experience it to fully believe that it is completely lifelike however

That happened to me too, I didn't believe it until I saw it. Once you get into your lucid dream take your time to really observe the detail.

      I might...

You experienced that you woke up, before the sleep paralysis ended.. (?)

Sleep paralysis is what keeps us from acting out what we do in dreams/’other realities’/’other bodies’ …

End it too soon, and one might sleep walk, sleep talk, grind teeth.. Etcetera, etcetera!
End it too late, and one might feel stuck, …

What I do when the paralysis is ended too late, is to go 'back' in a mindscape/dreamscape/dream/’alternative reality’ …
I know who I am, as I become...

Hi, i experience this alot, im never shivering and i dont feel an evil presence, although i am scared but probably because of not being able to move, while this happens does your vision ever seem yellowish? anyway im getting used to it and am trying to move and sometimes i can move and its like i was breaking free of something, i dunno hard to explain but its a weird experience...

Ocasionally during sleep paralysis, and brief periods of wakefulness,i actually have perceived the walls to be yellow and kinda swirly. This was not dissimilar to the kind of visuals i got when taking DMT. This is interesting to me, because i've read theories that the DMT our brain naturally produces may have something to do with the dream process.

I know basically nothing about it but what I have heard is that our mind produces it in large quantities when we sleep and when we die, basically giving us a trip every night and right before death.
