Have i been lucid dreaming all my life?

      Ok,hello everyone.Im new.

I want to know if what i've been doing for most of my life is lucid dreaming or not.

Normally i would go to bed,and try to sleep, while trying to sleep i will constantly keep thinking of things. Soon i will find that my mind is awake while my body is asleep... (if that makes sense) If i panic i would wake up to find that i am "paralysed". If i stay clam i am able to "daydream" meaning whatever I think of will actually happen. If I want to be in school, i will realise that im already there....(that kind of thing).... however when im in these "dreams" im mostly watching myself.... and sometimes i switch between vewing myself and being myself... In most of my dreams I KNOW im dreaming...

      is this considered lucid dreaming?

Oh yeah i also have dreams where i fall asleep in the dream...and actually start dreaming within a dream....

I'd say this is lucid dreaming. What you're doing is basically the WILD technique. Seems like you have it pretty well under control seeing as you can think about a particular place and be there. It's good that you've been able to do this for a while and you should most likely have no problem trying some of the techniques on this forum. Oh, and welcome to Dreamviews!

When you say trying to sleep, have you been sleeping beforehand? Also, are these fully fledged dreams or short scenarios? I find I go through mini- dreams if I'm struggling to really get to sleep.

It is only considered a lucid dream if you are aware that you are dreaming, i think that you could do quite well if you worked on your recall, that can sometimes help get rid of the viewing problem, it seems asthough you are a person in the dream instead of just watching other people. Just work on your recall and your lucid dreams will definately improve! Oh, and
