Very odd that you started laughing, but it's best to WILD in the early morning after getting a few hours of sleep. But it does look like you were getting somewhere though. |

Yes, I sometimes want to laugh when the hypnagogic sounds are songs with nonsense lyrics |

Dec. 2006 - July 2007:
92 DILDs + 30 WILDs ; 75% too short, 24% decent, ~3 of 2 to 5 minutes
(I stopped counting after that)
Well this is a change of scenery compared to all the "scared of WILD" posts |
|
well the easiest way for me to get to sleep, without even trying to LD, is to lay completely still, but this time i tried keeping my brain awake, and hey, it only took 90 breaths! i did try after 5 hours sleep, but i found then that i was too tired to keep my self awake lol. haha yep, theres nothig to be scared of though, nothing can happen to you |

It sounds like you reached the onset of sleep paralysis. The problem with WILDing when you first go to bed is that it takes about 90 minutes for the REM period to start. So what usually happens is that you end up stuck in SP for 90 minutes before the dream imagery starts to form, which is boring as hell... However, if you try WILDing after having slept for a few hours, you jump right into REM sleep and the dream comes much quicker. Simply put, WBTB is to lucid dreaming what gasoline is to a fire |

What does the tingling feeling feel like? I've experienced sort of a tingling feeling and it's made my leg twitch before but that was about it. |

It's impossible to describe the feelings of a WILD, because they vary so much from person to person. Personally, I don't feel any tingling. I feel my body start to go numb (starting from the tips of my fingers and toes and moving towards the center of my body), and once in SP, I feel a "rush" every now and then. |

i had started laughing once got to 1hr and 10 minites in wild then started laughing time went to waste (once, im over it now its normal) |

How long do you stay in SP before entering your dream? I've never achieved WILD mostly because when I set my alarm in the middle of the night I'm so tired I turn it off without thinking. But this morning I WILDed by accident, I started to vibrate a little and then heard this very loud sound of glass shattering which gave me a fright and it stopped. |

I do. Once I tried WILD with listening same time some music, I started to think "oh well what I am really doing" and then I started to smile |
