Thread: Finally had a lucid dream

Well... lucid for a minute, then I forgot about it

I tried to use WBTB with WILD, but I was just too tired and I lost my concentration, so i never felt SP or anything, but when I did fall asleep, I was dreaming it was thanksgiving and my sister was recording it with an old VHS camcorder for some reason. My dad walked out of the room for a second and then there was a little kid at the table and I asked my mom and she said it was my little brother (I don't have a little brother). He didn't talk in my dream he just sat there and he had a blue Yankees cap covering his face and he was eating. Thats when I realized I was dreaming, I got up and went outside and jumped into my pool. (Why? I have no idea) Then I remember my sister showing me the tape on the camera, and I was doing a back flip into the pool. For some reason I was now on the beach and my sister was gone and I was holding the camera, I think by now I forgot that I was dreaming. I never really had control over the dream because my brain wasn't thinking logically. Difficult to remember what happened next but something about this fat nerd guy that was calling my older brother a noob for some reason, and my older brother was programming 3d duck hunt in java (this is kind of a hobby hes had recently). We were in my unfinished basement at my old house. If I wrote this as soon as I got up, maybe I could give you a more detailed story but right now every thing's kind of vague. Most, but not all of it, was in third person.

That can be one of the handy things about WILD failure, the can sometimes lead to lucid dreams anyway. Well done.

Your lucid dreams (and your awareness that you're dreaming) should only improve with time and practice.

You also mentioned something else very important.. that if you had written about your dream as soon as you got up, you would have a more detailed story instead of just a vague recollection. I wish everyone would remember to write down their dreams immediately upon awakening.

well to day i woke up at 10.00am to my younger siblings messing about next door and my sister getting late for work, they woke me up and i was so frustrated, then i went back to sleep but my dream was that i was dressed in my own clothes going to school (my school normally does uniforms except the 6th form) and im being drenched by rain and its a bitter day (just the way i like some mornings. lol) and my trousers are all wet and im wearing my huge coat that i wore in year 7 (7th grade to use lot) and all of a sudden i say to my self this cannot be happening because 1 im supossed to be in school uniform and 2 im going to the 6th form down this road (really old highway kinda road i used to tyk) and 3 its the 6 weeks holidays (well for me more then that) nonetheless the 6 week holidays so what am i doing here, so i said to my self i must be lucid dreaming, so instead of the usual reality test i do i say if im dreaming i sould be able to breath out my nose if i put my figer there i was soo excited that i go forget sex because when people do that they go ott and wake up, so i imaged a beach with sand and then unexpectidely i can hear my younger brothers and sister messing around (they really were) and i relized that im half awake listening to the things happening around me and half doing lucid dreaming, and then everything seemed clustered up in my dream so i jumped up (flew) and spun roud it was all vivid again, and then all of a sudden i was the human torch from the fantastic four flying past sky scrapers at night, and then my siblings (outside my dream) are getting louder and louder so im coming out the lucid dream toward them which i didn't want, and then wilst i was lucid i felt the bed sheets (wierd) and then finally i gave way and i was awake with my younger bros. and sister banging on my door as they ran downstairs, arrggh im soo angry i hadnt had a lucid dream in years!!!!!
