Totally new and looking for some help

Hello i am 17 and have been interested in LD'ing for some time now, I have only had one LD that i know of and i immediately woke from it out of over excitement. I am looking for ways to induce and remember my Lucid Dreams, Any tips or tutorials, basically anything is help full! I have seen waking life and read about lucid dreaming in many places, I am not a morning person at all so a dream journal is hard for me because i am so tired and unmotivated, I could really use tips for gaining morning motivation and awareness?

Well, dreams can be really fascinating things, its interesting to remember them and write them down, especially ones that grip you, when you wake up just think "why don't i write down my dreams" but remember that forcing yourself to will be very offputting, i think that you need to find the motivation, and the motivation usually comes from the dreams themselves, so just dive into your dreams, think a little more consciously and try your best to record them, if you remember some dreams in the morning that don't seem too important, try and remember all the details before you go back to sleep or leave for work or what not, you don't always have to write down every dream.

I would say the most important prerequisites for lucid dreaming as as follows:

      - Good dream recall
      - Over 6 hours sleep a night
      - Avoid drink and drugs before bed
      - Identify your dream signs
      - Frequent reality checks preferably linked to your dreamsigns

      Hope this helps

Plenty of rc's, also do them whenever something odd happens because think about how often odd things happen in dreams. So eventually when odd things happen in ur dreams (which happens all the time) u will do a rc and become lucid.

Thanks all of you! One thing you mentioned was identify your dream signs, what would be a way to start on identifying your own dream signs?

A great way to identify dream signs is to study your dream journal and look through your dreams for something that is in alot of your dreams, say its a flying window or something bizzare like that, basically just find the dream signs and then tell yourself to recognise them when your next dreaming, remember that it is a sign that can trigger lucidity. It can be hard to pick up but recognising such signs is a great way to becoming lucid.
