      hey, just a few questions

hey my names bella and i have been practisinf ld for a few years now and studying my own dreams and relating them to my own real life.

recently i have been having some nighmares/ night terrors. the past last night i had a dream that i was out clubbing with some friends and the dream was going fine and i was enjoying it when it felt like someone had invaded my dream and it all turned weird, a man was stalking me everywere i whent, and somehow had the phone numbers of my friends and sending them blank messages. i decided to go home after this man whose face i could never see as he was wearing a hooded jacket was following me around, i got into a cab home and whent to bed and all night after i woke up i could feel someone outside my window watching me and waiting.

and the night before this i woke up from a deep sleep and shot out of bed as i felt someone in my rooms and could see a dark shadow at the end of my bed.

ive heard of people invading your dreams and the dream witht he stalker i tried hard in my dream to avoid him but its almost like there was someone invading my dream with a stronger will than mine to cause me greif...

does anybody have any advice for me to help stop this intruder getting into my dreams let alone my room.

Hey bella, Welcome to DreamViews .

So basically you're saying that you have these nightmares and then when you wake up it seems there are actually people watching you? I know thats a really scary feeling but I doubt there is actually any entities and it is just the feeling from the dream lingering with you as you wake up. There are some threads about Dream Walkers/Night Stalkers who can supposedly go into other people dreams (I beleive the big one is in the Beyond Dreaming forum). Some people believe in it some don't. You're fear of it is what lets it control you. Maybe you could start realizing they are dreams and confront the danger since there really is none. If you aren't already doing reality checks whenever something weird happens nows a good time to start so instead of getting scared you can know there is no real harm. It will be easier if in the next one if it seems like you have been in that situation before. Sometimes in dreams you have a real memory and sometimes a made up one, the real one is better for lds as long as you can remember "O yeah this again, there was something I was supposed to remember, O yeah this is a dream!". Good Luck and hopefully someone other people with good advice will chime in.

the first time it happened i didnt dream there was an entity in my room i woke from my sleep with a strange feeling there was someone in my room...

next time this happens ill try your advice and confront the issue in the dream rather than try and avoid it... its just odd to me as i never had a nightmare when i was a child but only now in my adult years. i have dreams were i have found human remains and gorish things but they have never bothered me but this bothers me when it feels like someone is invading my dreams

I had an experience like that once, where I woke up and saw something dark in my room. I can think of three friends who have had similar experiences, while awake (having just woken up, admittedly). I personally don't believe it was hallucinatory, but this isn't the R/S forum, so I'll just say I hope you have sweet dreams from here on out.
      LD Counter (as of 07.25.07) = 5 (2 WILDs)
Short-term goal: Recall three full dreams a night for a full week.
Long-term goal: Have three LDs per week for one month.
Longer-term goal: Have one six-hour LD every night! (Shooting too high? We'll see.)
Waking life goal: Round up some NPSG equipment to study my own sleep patterns.
