      How real are DC's?

Ok this might sound cheesy, but I had this one idea I wanted to try out in a LD. I have yet to have an LD, so I don't really know if this would work. I just wanted to know if DC's can be realistic enough that they could reflect their real life counterparts. I want to know this because well I was thinking of asking out this one friend and it could either be good or bad. I was wondering if I could try something in an LD and have that as a warning or a go ahead for in RL. Has anyone tried something like that?

Well whatever you want pretty much happens in your dream. Lets say you met him/her in your dream and you asked her out. If your scared and you think she'll say no, then she probably will. Vice versa, if you think she'll say yes then she probably will. And as in how real the DC's are, it really depends on how well you know the person.

In an LD you could either make this friend as a DC say whatever you want them to say, or they could respond on their own, it's up to you, kind of, depending on your control. It's good practice for things you want to try but don't know how to go about them. Just don't expect the DC's response to predict what the real person will say.

The others are correct. Dream characters often respond in the manner you expect them to. This means that their dream responses are NOT a good indicator of what that person might say or do in real life.

However, interacting with dream representations of real people is a useful tool to help build confidence or practice interaction, even though the ultimate response may vary.

But, the fact that your intuition and expectations (and how well you know the real person) can effect the DC's responses, it is possible to try out more than one "method of interaction" and see what yields the best response. Then reflect upon it after you awaken. You may find that you've solved the problem of finding the best way to approach your interaction with the real person.

They can be realistic and like the real life counterparts however for the most part, they are random and speak complete gibberish.

I find it can go either way. Sometimes calm, collective intelligent people I know appear as DCs which act exactly the same as their real life counterparts. Other times these people are doing the can-can telling me I'll never see someone again because "He's Shakespere now". It can be the luck of the draw really, though some strong dream control may turn that round I suppose.

Oh, I'm sorry it looks like you guys misunderstood me. I don't really care about getting a straight yes or no. In the LD I'd just want to see what it would be like spending an extended period of time with someone. I know them, but I keep seeing them in the group setting. When I say the go ahead I'm just would be using this to take what I already know about them and almost take away the distractions of other people and see how I react. Something like that. If that makes since.

yeah I think I understand. Again, it kindda depends on how well you know the person. But sometimes DC's can act pretty weird and just speak gibberish. But you have to remember, its your dream.
