      no success!!! :(

      hi everyone!
first let me explain my situation
i have been trying to lucid dream for over a year
      i have a dream journal
i remember at least 1-2 dreams a night
i do reality checks often, i have tried both wild (stayed up for 3 hours once and still nothing) and mild, and most other methods
i stopped thinking about it to see if i was thinking too much
i tried lucid dreaming while napping
      but still
      after a year
i have not had a lucid dream
when i get up and remember the dream i think to myself "How on earth did i not realize that it was a dream"???
i mean heck, most of my dreams include stuff that just shouldnt happen

example, i am skiing and its summertime was one of them
i am with my cousins who are a 7000 miles away
i am playing tag with animals and my cousins
im still in highschol when i already graduated
its so obvious yet i still cant realize its a lucid dream

is it just possible that i just cant lucid dream or am i just doing something completely wrong?

I don't know...I have a similar problem, and if anyone has any suggestions, let me know, too!

The only reason I even still believe in lucid dreaming is because when I was much, much younger I had intermittent and serial lucids.

so you wouldnt belive in lucid dreaming if you didnt, what about the fact that at least 13,000 people belive in it

What kind of response is that? There are thousands and even millions of people who believe idiotic things and who are wrong about lots of things, and the number of people who believe or do not believe something has zero bearing on whether or not it is true.

Now, if anyone has any ACTUAL and HELPFUL responses and posts, such things would seem slightly more appropriate for this thread...

You're strating to become real annoying, they're just asking for help. He doesn't have to believe in it if he doesn't want, but he said he does.

And maybe you should look at you hands throughout the day, or do a reality check every time you have a conversation or walk into a new room. What helped me was to try to picture what it would look/feel like if you were dreaming. I suggest try to relax and try some DILDS. My favorite

      Hey there,

Sometimes, it can help to take a more active interests in dreams in general. Don't get hung up on Lucid Dreams only, trying and find enrichment (oh oh big word! ) in your entire nightly dreaming life. Just focus on your dreams for a while, enjoy them, learn about yourself from them. Then when you're ready, move on to lucid dreams.

      Just a suggestion,

      Welcome to the forum Munk3y

Yeah it can sometimes get annoying, how we can experience unusual stuff in dreams with out questioning it.

That's hat reality checks are for!!!

i did reality checks every 15 minutes for three days. i did a reality check once in my dream about a week ago and got so close to becoming lucid. but i got cocky and haven’t done a reality check in two days, i guess i should get back on them

Thanks for the advice...god why am I still up? lol

Anyways, I have been enjoying my dreams lately, and I get some interesting ones. Had one that was near lucid but not quite. Hard to explain, as many things in dreams are, but I was about halfway aware I was dreaming.

I've been doing reality checks when I walk through doorways, but sometimes (all right, so most times) I forget. Working on it, though! And in the meantime, the dreams are fairly entertaining to recount and write down.
