      Frustrations....

I still consider myself a n00b, so I'm posting this here.

I sought out this site initially because I had had several LDs in a few months time, and was hoping to increase their frequency and intensity. Then I found this site, registered, read all the intro and tutorials, started a dream journal, began doing rcs, and had 2 more LDs! They were really minor and lasted only a few seconds, but I was lucid all the same.

But for the past 3 days, I've not only had no form of LD whatsoever, but my dream recall is substancially less. Don't know if those two issues are mutually exclusive or not, and I'd be fine with a decline in LDs alone (I'm quite patient!). But the decline in dream recall is a little unsettling. Not only am I recalling fewer dreams, but the dreams themselves are really hazy, shorter that normal, and really really vague.

Am I doing too much, or not enough?

Oh yeah, one more thing: the past few days my insomnia has been MUCH better.....it seems I have better LD's when my insomnia is worse. Does that sound normal?

Anyway, any feedback would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks!

Everybody seems to think that its instant success if you start doing this.
Its been 5 months for me and i've had 5 low level LD's.

Now now, I honestly do not expect instant success. I just take note when there's a sudden decline.

So is one a month for you pretty normal? Just curious.

Nothing wrong with that. I don't have many LDs now, maybe one a month, but I used to have lots more. It has been mentioned before that if you put pressure on yourself to have a Lucid Dream, you won't.

I don't have lucid dreams often I either.
Maybe about 2 a month at a low level.
      Are you dreaming?

Well, IDK but i guess what i would do is keep trying. Sometimes I can go a month without an LD and sometimes I could have one or more a night.

yeah, 1 a month about normal, but it seems more like 1 a year... heh
      they're not even good ones,
but alot of the hit-and-run newbies who post 3 posts or less (glad you seem to be a keeper, 6 days 107 posts... tsk tsk ) come here and are all dissapointed that their first few tries where worthless... =/ so its normal to work for it a bit. Some people are just lucky though.

Boy, you're not joking. My mom and brother claim to do it all the time. And I admit, I'm better at it when I'm not pressuring myself too much.

Ummmmmmm...about my post count.......I have a confession: I'm a post-aholic. The content is good, I just have major OCD when I'm really into something, and I tend to overdo things a touch. But I swear I'm not trying to up my ranking. I just have way too much to say, and way too much time to say it.
