Unhappy couldn't sleep after trying WILD

I'm new here, and I've never LD'd before.
A few weeks ago I heard about this and tried Wild.
After a while Of trying to fall asleep, I felt very strange and I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night.
Does anyone know why? I would be very grateful if you answer

Hey there natemoo and welcome to the forum!

I'm sure that once you get into practicing lucid dreaming you will experience some better results, i would like to help identify why you felt strange, could you offer any more details, what it felt like so that i could maybe identify the problem?

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask

      Hey there,

Sometimes, for some reason or another, like after attempting a wild, or waking up from a lucid dream, I get stuck in what I call a 'shadow zone', meaning I find myself right between sleeping and waking, and I can't really sleep. I feel like sleeping very much, my thoughts can't seem to focus, I keep tossing and turning, but no matter what I do sleep wont come to me.

I've found the best thing to do is just to fully wake myself up for a while. Usually I'll get up, switch on the light, read a little, and then after 20-30 minutes go back to sleep. At that point I'll usually doze off right away.

Hope that helps for you too,

I just tried a WILD and it was scary. I counted backwards from 100 and when I got to 73 all of the sudden my vision grew very dark and I felt this strange burning sensation in my chest and it hurt. It was hard to breath and it was just very painful. I forced my eyes opened and I have been shaking ever since.
