One of my favorite class of drugs was pschedelics (but, unfortunately I love opiates a bit too much as well) and I have been happy to find out that dreaming and the psychedelic experiance (or entheogenic) are very similar. I guess I'm wondering if lucid dreaming can 'satisfy' my thirst for psychedelics...any thoughts or comments would be much appreciated and welcomed.
Thanks

I think that dreaming can be better than psychedelics. You can experience the most amazing, visionary, and other-worldly experiences imaginable.
There are many paths to reach this level, but there are some short-cuts: for example you can take a drug while in a lucid dream, and I mean a drug that appears in your dream, not a real drug. The effect will be unpredictable and will differ each time, but many people reported experiencing the same effects of the real drug. But even without taking drugs inside a dream you can have the most amazing experiences, and there are so many advantages over drugs, to name a few:
no health risks or discomfort
no risk of psychological problems
no legal problems
it's free
no hangover or after-effects
