In answer to your question Linker: Yes this is perfectly normal, they will seem like just plain memories when you first start but as you progress with your recall and you remember more, they will not only seem like memories, they will seem like you were actually in the dream when you have them, its pretty cool. I mean as you progress you become more aware in the dreams and yes they will seem less memory like, of course you will remember them still but you will have that feeling of being there in the moment if you get me. |

Ok thanks, i got one more question: |

Hey welcome to the forum. |

I'm not quite sure on how to define REM sleep, i think that the deeper the REM sleep the less aware you are, the dream may seem less detailed and more hazy. However i believe a lighter REM could be defined as in which you have a more vivid dream, you remember more, more chance of a lucid dream. Hope that helped. |

Normally what I would do is make sure I have a regular sleeping pattern or going to bed and getting up at the same times with a deviation of about an hour or so. You need to know how much sleep you need to feel relaxed and not be tired in the day, for me it is 8 hours, meaning my REM sleep seems to be lighter than if I had little sleep and was really tired. |
