      Unhappy Trouble with control

You know, I noticed this last night.
I almost always remember my dreams. I always know I'm dreaming.
But after trying to control my dream, I learned
I have no control at all.
It was like, "I'm dreaming." then I just continued on with everything I was doing.
Anyone have any tips for me? I's really like to have control of my dreams.

It sounds like you aren't grounded in your lucidity when you dream (i.e., make it as lucid as it can be).. that's when the tricks/stunts can happen.

One of the tricks I use to "ground" myself is to "touch" things. By touching.. I mean really "feeling" them. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc. (this also increases the vividness of the dream along with helping me remain in it longer).

You may also try to increase your vividness/control by confidently declaring "increase lucidity".

Also, there is no "try" when you're lucid.. only "do". You must KNOW that there is nothing you can't have nor perform while in your dream.

Just remember that "the deeper the level of lucidity.. the better your lucid experience should be".

Clairity gave some very solid advice there. Confidence in the fact you're in a dream helps to no end. I find thinking stuff like "I can *insert thing* because it's only a dream, it'd not real" that whay you ca increase your lucidity and it gives a firm basis for control.
