Heh my reality check failed
Well I was having a weird dream where aliens were invading so I thought to myself this could be a dream, I pulled out a bit of paper which had some words on it, I did the RC with text but it didn't change, I did it another 3 times and it didn't change and I never got to be lucid. I was very dissapointed that is for sure.
This happen to any of you guys?

Yes, that is the problem with reality checks. You get fooled easily.
But good news is, after a while, you will no longer need reality checks. Sounds like you were at that state already.
You knew you were dreaming and was concious enough to perform a relity check.you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

yeah, keep it up and keep trying, if you think you might be dreaming, chances are big you actually are, just dont try to do any weird stuff yet, small chance you might actually be awake

Reminds me of the suggestion of using that marquee screensaver saying 'Are you dreaming?'
Then I could sneak up and change it to 'You're Dreaming! Jump out the window and see!'Tips For Newbies | What to do in an LD

If that particular RC failed then I suggest you just go ahead and try another one. Techboy and several colaborators(including yours truly) have started a list of possible RCs in the general discussion board(soon to be in the tutorials
) in case you want to check it out and pick some more for you to try
