I'm starting to try WILDs at 4 am, I did one at like 10 pm before, but anyways... When I woke up at 4 am, I was like, I'm too tired to do anything, and I have no real motive. Also, I'm a bit scared cause I usually wake up from a dream at that time, and my last one didn't end well.... I then go to sleep normally and have like another dream or 2, and I ALWAYS don't know I'm dreaming, Its crazy. How can I be that stupid in dreams?! |

I've always wanted to WILD when I wake up in the middle of the night but never do because I'm too tired and don't care at that point. It's like in broad daylight how you can say how you won't be scared if you go into a haunted house or whatever and then when it's dark you'd wish you never said anything. When I wake up in the middle of the night I just think about lucid dreaming for a second and then fall asleep. It helped me end a huge dry spell. All I did was think about lucid dreaming quick and then fell asleep. I didn't WILD, it was more that maybe my mind thought about it more and I got one later on. The first couple times you get an LD with a new method you will be excited. In most Lds you don't think rationally like you would in real life. Next time you will probably not get as excited and will get better. |

Err, about the thinking rationally part. I know in normal dreams, its different, you go along with the flow of everything and don't question... but how can you say that about lucid dreaming? Its like you are conscious 100% of the time, form wake to sleep, how can u become irrational without your mind falling asleep. I know you might be excited, but I'm not too sure about the irrational part. People do have reality checks and do things such as spinning to prolong the dream... which you'd never think of in a normal one. |

When you sleep, many conscious parts of your brain turn off. When you become lucid, some of these re-activate. But since you really are still dreaming, your brain isn't fully activated. |
