      G'day

I had an amazing dream last night, and it made me want to create an account here. One of those dreams you just want to go back to.

I might put an online dream journal up, I might not, but I got a nice book I picked up a while ago from Asda which is begging for some decent purpose so I'm going to be setting my DS alarm to 5.00 in the morning and write down what I remember.

I've done this once before a while back on my own, but I kinda stopped when exams came along.

So anyway, Hello everyone, hopefully I'll have an attention span more than 2 weeks.

      Heya Mash, welcome to DV

It doesn't really matter whether your Dream Journal is online or in a book, so long as you have one and you write in it. Recall is probably the most important thing about Lucid Dreaming, since without it you'll forget even the most incredible dreams

If you haven't already noticed the Tutorials Section, I suggest you have a look, and apart from that,

      Happy Dreaming

      Hey! Welcome!

And "putting up" a dream journal isn't necessary if you don't want to... just make sure you're keeping track somewhere! I personally had a DJ on here a few years ago but now I keep it all in a word doc... just an idea

That's assuming he/she will have a lucid dream within 2 weeks. I've been at it for about 2 and a half weeks and while I've had some very interesting things happen in my dreams, it's nothing I could call lucid. I'm not giving up though!

How long did it take most of you when you first started?

Wow, this seems like a very busy forum.

Just got back from work... BAM 8 replies!

      Thanks for your encouraging words.

Citizen: I just think it'll be handy to type them up again as it would help remember them. Bit like writing definitely five times will help you remember how to spell it.

Back in 1998 I received a catalog called "Things You Never Knew Existed" and in it was an ad for the NovaDreamer by the Lucidity Institute.

I ordered it on a whim and had a lucid dream the first time I wore it.

My next one was probably a week later.

Yeah I saw a commercial for the NovaDreamer (or a science show on it or something) and I was so interested in it I couldn't turn it off. I looked for the video online and never found it and they were saying that a device like that would cost somewhere around $300.00 when released to the public and I was like "I would totally sell all my video game consoles for that! It's like you play a giant video game in your head! Your brain is the ultimate console!"

And a few years later I remembered it so when I was in a bookstore I bought EWLD and after reading that I hopped on line and found dreamviews, left for two years, and now I'm back
