      New here

I'm new here, and wanted to say hello.

I'm trying to get better at Lucid Dreaming, and dream control, and I need alot of help

I've had alot of lucid dreams throughout my life. One time when I was a kid, I had a dream that my best friend who had moved away was plating with me on the playground at my school. He said "This is cool", and I said, "Yeah, too bad it's a dream." I promplty forgot it was a dream though, lol.

Last night I became lucid, but when I did, for some reason, I freaked out and tried to wake up. I did wake up, of course. I'm not sure why I freaked out like I did that time, but oh well. Seems like I'm less emotionally stable in dream state...

Anyhow, just wanted to say hi and ask some questions.

First, Does anyone have any tips for making a dream lucid, or even to control one once it has become lucid?

Also, If anyone could tell me what some of the acronyms I keep seeing mean (WILD, MILD, etc) that would be great.

      to Dreamviews, Beck!
Congratulations on becoming lucid last night! It may have been short, but it means you're getting closer!
Clairity gave you the link to the acronym list, it's very helpful.
You mentioned that you are "emotionally unstable" in your dreams, this is common. As you get a few more lucids you should be able to learn to control it
If you have any other questions feel free to post!

Thanks for the link, I'll give that a look-over

I'll be trying WILD in a while, sounds interesting, but also like quite a commitment.

      Thanks again for the tips.
