brand new with a few questions

I have read a few tutorials on WILDing already and I'm going to try tonight.

I'm probably one of the younger people here, I'm 15, but i have always wished i could control my dreams. As soon as i found out i might be able to control them i jumped on the opportunity.

I have a few basic questions that have gone unanswered in the tutorials i have read:

i have never experienced a lucid dream, will it take more practice for me to acheive a lucid dream or successfully performing a WILD?

Does anyone have any idea if age will matter?

is it absolutely necessary for you to sleep 5 to 7 hours before attempting a WILD?

      Thanks!

With any luck, you'll be very glad you did.

WILD is just one of the possible ways to trigger a lucid dream. It's no different as far as the actual dream is concerned. WILD is generally more involved than most other techniques but, that doesn't mean it's any harder, just different and may take more conscious effort.

No, your age should not matter.

No, it just makes it easier (more accessible).

      Thanks!

Hey, welcome to DV lundy. To answer your questions, it does make a difference that you have never had a ld, but not a big difference, and it takes lots of practice for almost everybody.

Age doesn't matter, determination, confidence, motivation, knowledge on the subject, and practice are the main keys. I had my first ld very young w/o any of these though, so it all just depends on the person.

sleeping 5-7 hours before attempting a WILD helps out a lot but I suggest you practicing DILDing first. Many people find this easier

Start a dream journal, and do reality checks often during waking hours. every night when you are trying to go to sleep, say to yourself that you will recall your dream vividly, and that you will lucid dream. taking 50 mg of vitamin b6 is helpful also.
