welcome lt, it only took me 4 days to get my first lucid, I think the average is about a month. All you need is to remember at least one dream a night, but 2-3 is better because if you have a lucid dream you will have a higher chance to remember. What ever you do keep a dream journal, when I
do I have many more lucid dreams.

as for what tech it was, it was a dild, thats pretty much what everyones is at first. I also dont really think you can learn dild, all you do is reality checks and recognise dream signes. the most important thing to lucid dream is to know you can, and to expect it, if you say you cant you wont be able to. happy dreaming
