      I'm new!

Hello, I was referred here by my best friend, mygreybear. XD she got me into the excitement of lucid dreaming. I felt kinda dishearted and felt like getting into lucidity would be hard for me. Every time I would go to sleep I would get bored of staying up and fall asleep and I would never be able to realise I was dreaming.
She was reading to me, a post on this forum on a tactic of getting into lucidity and I realised that I was actually VERY close. My body had fell asleep but I was still aware, it was tingly and annoying. But at that time, all I wanted to do was fall asleep. So I missed out on that. Well anyways, I'm rambling.

I can't wait to experiance my first lucid dream. ^_^

      oh and, hi.

Hey, welcome to the forums! Glad that you found us!

Lucid dreaming is really cool isn't it? We have a lot of resources here if you want to learn more, or try out different techniques for LD-ing.

      Good luck!

      Hey, I have a quesiton.

Last night I wanted to try lucid dreaming again and I ended up very restless. Tossing and turning. So I got up, played a game till 4 am. went back to bed and I half-heartedly decided to try lucid dreaming again. I layed in bed, dead tired and was going through the alphabet and giving a name to each letter.
well, I did move a few times but eventually refused to move again.
about the 2nd restart at the alphabet my whole body was kinda tingly, and then it got REALLY tingly and I felt weightless like I could be hovereing a centimeter off my matress. I waited, it went away but I was still a little tingly, then it happened again. After that it went away for good and I fell asleep.
But... I mean... was that tingly, weightless sensation anything to do with getting closer to lucidity?
If so, what should I do to actually get there?

      P.S. I was using Clarity's WILD tecnique.

      Hey there,

      Welcome, first of all

The tingly sensation is most likely the sensation of your body falling asleep. This isn't something you normally experience if you just go to sleep regularly, as you don't usually try to remain conscious during the process, but it's something that does happen to you every night.

Its actually not directly related to lucidity, but it can be an indication you're getting closer, simply because in order to lucid dream, you do need to be asleep. Feeling these sensations you have means you're body is going to sleep, after which the possibility for a WILD may soon follow.

On a different topic, do note that it's not necessary to 'stay awake' for a while before sleeping in order to have lucid dreams. You're experimenting with WILD techniques, which is fine, but its not the only way to induce lucid dreams. There's other techniques with which you can just go to sleep normally.

      Hope that helps!
