      Thumbs down Hey...

I'm new, of course, and I would like to find out more on how to do all that "lucid dreaming" stuff, but I still want to retain my ability to philosphically dream. (It's cool and helps me out if it turns out to be right) Is there a way to do both? And also, I would also like to know how to remember my constant future dreams. (I can remember almost every lucid dream I've ever had.) Thanks a bunch!

      to Dreamviews!
Don't worry, learning LDing and practicing techniques will not make every dream you have lucid. Many people get about 1-2 a week, some people get 1 every 1-2 days. But you will by no means lose your ability to normally dream
This tutorial should help you remember your dreams.

I believe he's asking whether he will be able to have normal dreams (ie not lucid) if he tries the techniques here.

Well I don't really have much to add to what these guys said so to Dreamviews.

Thanks for the advice. I actually had a short, slow lucid dream last night. I read somewhere about keeping focused or something that helped me, and at about 6:00 (20 minutes before my usual (school) waking time) I dreamed about flying a spaceship to a distant life-supporting planet and visiting a Disneyworld-like theme park in the planet's woods. (Before I took the wheel of my dream, a bunch of evil plants attacked me on the cargo bay of my spaceship. It's good to add suspense like that.)

Actually that rises another question: Can you feel pain during a dream? (I don't mean as in outside world pain, but like in-dream pain)

I've felt dream pain in normal dreams, but I don't recall ever having dream pain in lucid dreams. It's probably cos I know nothing can hurt me in my lucid dreams so I dont get hurt.

Yes, you should be able to feel pain.
      Congratulations on the LD!

YAY! Another lucid dream. I did my first reality check! I looked at a clock that read 3:20 at some school, and it changed straight to 3:50ish right in front of my eyes. Then, once I realized I was dreaming, I felt an unintentional strong pulling sensation of going backwards. However, I launched like a rocket at an angle (despite being pulled back) and slowly floated down. (I didn't leave the atmosphere, just hit my head on the ceiling) I began to hover around, lifting things and people with telekinesis. Then, about a minute of fun later, it ended. YAY!!! LUCID!

Congratulations again. How about an extra smiley?
