      First Lucid Dream

      I have been researching lucid dreams for about 3 weeks. With no luck. I Kept a Dream journal, Did reality checks, tried other things, but nothing seemed to be working! Well Last night I had my first lucid dream!

      When I relized I was in a dream I got really exicited but then I reminded myself that I had to stay calm otherwise I would wake up. At this point I had to prove to my self that I was in a dream. So i looked around at my surroundings. I was in a Huge library. It was pretty amazing it looked so real. I went to one of the many bookshelves and picked out a book. I looked on the outside cover of the book and then I looked again and the text had changed!! Thus I now knew that I was lucid dreaming. WOW I thought to myself, what to do...Then I remember that the people on this forum said it was a good idea to spin yourself around a few times. To keep you in the dream or something. So I spun myself around a few time. When I stopped spinning the Library had changed to a beach!! It looked so real, I could also hear the waves. It was amazing. Wow what to do next.... I decided to try to see if I could breath underwater. So I dived underwater and I could, and my vision was clear! I got out of the water,Spun around a few times and when I stopped spinning I was on a cliff. I knew that I wanted to go here so I could practice flying. I jumped off but the funny thing is I just fell >.< and hit the bottom, and I woke up.

      I cant wait for tonight, Im going to try again.

      It's great to hear that you've both already had a lucid dream and remembered how to prolong and control it

      Gratz on your first LD. Still trying for my first one, been hecktic here and I'm always TOO tired. Hopefully work/school will let up some so I can experiment more.
