      Advice please

I just started to read up on lucid dreaming I recorded one of my dreams. Problem is I have a 3 yr old son who wakes me up in the morning so I forget my dreams right away. How long does it usually take to start having more vivid dream and what can i do to increase them. Any advice?

      Hello, to Dreamviews!
http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=6207 - there's the link to the Dream Recall tutorial. That should help you remember your dreams better, even if you are woken up.
Usually you can make your LDs more vivid by simply yelling "Increase Vividness" in the dream.

welcome to dreamviews niki, I will try to answer your question

It depends how long it could take you to remember your dreams more frequently. The first thing you want to do when you wake up is write down your dream, and you could read them before you go to bed. You may be able to see you dream recall improve in the first day.

as for having vivid dreams you should try foods like bananas or dairy products.

      Welcome to dreamviews.

You are privilaged. Normally Clairity has a specific greeting that she pro rata supplies to everyone but she has altered it and included your name, Niki1177. Well done Clairity, personalising the greeting.

My advise. Lucid dreaming is a skill that has to be learnt and effort put in. Some people are naturals and find it easy much to the dismay of others, but it is well worth the effort. It is an amazing experience.

      Best wishes.

so thats what clairity does, she just opens a text document and her greating is located there, so all she has to do is past it into the forum.

      Hey Niki,

I know how annoying it can be to be woken by distractions early morning, there is a solution that i use, it may work for you also. If you haven't already got a pair of noise cancelling headphones, get some. They are really good because they block outside noise (duh) and you can also use them to listen to relaxing music. But i also feel that even though it is important for you to get some sleep and try and remember some dreams i feel your child is a bit responsibility and you need to look after him. My suggestion is that if the above doesn't work you should train yourself, when he wakes you, sit down and stay calm and clear your mind, write down any notes before attending to your son. You can do it, it may take a few days of practice but i'm pretty confident you can achieve it if you try. If your still having any problems please do feel free to drop me a PM

I hope things sort themselves out!
