My FIRST LUCID

Last night i went to bed intent on having a LD. I did a bit of MILD as i was going to sleep and i had my alarm set for 6am (i went to sleep at 12) and i was going to get up and try FILD.

I ended up waking up at around 2.40am and was pretty pissed coz it took me about half an hour to get beck to bed, but i tried FILD along the way to no avail. I then woke up again at about 4am, i tried FILD again but was too awake, so i tried to go to sleep and do some MILD. It must have worked...

Because i then woke up again at 5.20am after One regular dream that i can recall very well and One Lucid dream. the Lucid went like this... {[]} i cant remember the start or anything up until it struck me. I was at my old house that i havent lived in for around 3 years. i was there alone. I was inside and it just hit me, "Im Dreaming". I didnt do any reality checks or anything, it was like i just instantly knew i was dreaming. So as soon as i had this thought i walked out the front door and to the drive way. Without even thinking i took a little run up and leaped into the air with both arms in front of me. I lifted off and didnt look back...i was flying. I flew for about 5 seconds and then thought i hope it doesnt end coz im pretty excited... I then leaned to one side and i turned, over some trees and then i was flying over the lake. i saw a light in the distance, so i tried to will myself to fly superspeed: no result. so i then closed my eyes and said, "superspeed": again no result. and very shortly after saying that i blacked out and woke up. {[]}

I am soo freakin happy with it... i was so excited in the dream and im thinking that this is what ended it so quickly (i was only lucid for around 1-2 mins real time).

im unhappy at the fact that i had 2 dreams at the old house last nite, one which involved a group of naked women walking out of a house and wondering the street...and then i reckon u could guess where it went from there

so i should have become lucid with that one too... ah well next time, im happy with what i got and considering i only started trying on the 28th of Sept im very happy.

Congratulations! That was fast!
Getting excited will quickly kill the dream. Next time, try to calm yourself as soon as you become lucid, and really accept the fact that you are dreaming. Still, 1-2 minutes for your first LD really isn't bad!

yea after i woke i was thinkin, "you idiot" coz i went straight into flight, didnt ground myself and quickly got too excited

but yeah it was fast... i wasnt expecting it at all... i havent even got my dream recall up to scratch. i sort of knew it may be coming though coz the night before i had a dream that i didnt really remember coz i woke in the morn an all i could remember was i had a dream that involved me saying "Im Dreaming" and nothing else.

Lets hope i can get lucky again 2nite, or at least have a really cool regular dream that i remember well...

Don't worry about it... everyone has problems controlling their excitement, especially on the first LD. You did suprisingly well!
