      Smile Designing a Lucid Dream

      Hey guys. I attend design school and I decided that I want to take on a project on Lucid Dreams. My idea is to design a bed/machine that will induce a dream of choice or dream lucidity. Since most of you guys have had lucid dreams, I think that you guys will be a great help. You can just talk about your positions of sleep, what comforts you or helps you sleep more easily, what helps you induce a lucid dream, etc. Just post anything that you think will aid me in designing this device. Thank You!

      Well welcome to dreamviews

      I really think this may be hard, and will require much research, passably the machine talks to you. I can talk to my cousin when he's dreaming, and one time I got him lucid so that may work. For sleeping positions I sleep on my stomach with my face down, and I use a fan.

      Cool. I thought about audio, but I was afraid it might make it more difficult for the person to fall asleep...unless it kicks in once they are asleep.

      I always sleep on my side, although many people say that it is easier to WILD on their back. You may want to build in speakers, for binural beats, mp3's, and messages.

      It sounds like a really cool project, let us know how it goes!

      Yes, you would want to activate it when the person enters rem sleep, but you would need sensors for that.

      That would be hard and would mess up a lot, but it would still work in the later hours, so you should just use a sensor.

      Correct me if I'm wrong, but REM sensors are expensive... really expensive.
