      This is truly amazing

I knew that you were able to controll your dreams and such (i belive i have had one or two LD's in the past) but i never knew all the things you could do. this site realy opened my eyes to the literaly infinite posibilities of lucid dreaming. i never knew i could quite literaly do all the things ive ever thought about doing. i just need some basic advice from those who recently had their first LD. is a dream journal realy vital and how does it help? how long did it take you to acheive your first lucid dream? my mind has just been swiming with questions like these and any help would be apreciated. thanks

      Hey, welcome to Dream Views!

I was also thinking about making a post like this when I joined. I also looked at Lucid Dreaming as a new dimension in life that I didn't know about.

I started with a dream journal and I got 4 dreams done. I regretted it, but I slowly improved my Dream Recall by thinking about the dreams in the morning and be entertained by them. Now, I remember tons of dreams!

Second of all, I don't want you to think this is a skill you can earn fast. It took me months to get my first lucid, but I guess if you can use the WILD technique efficiently I guess you could tonight!

My advice, take it easy. Read all the techniques maby try a WILD tonight. Who knows maby you will succeed on the first night! My personal advice is work on Dream Recall then try DEILD's and DILD's since they work pretty well for me.

Don't think its a hard skill. Once you practiced alot like me you will have 1-2 a week and get even better!

      Hope I helped!

      Welcome to the forum!

Firstly yes, most things that you can think of are possible to do in a lucid dreaming, depending on how lucid you are and how good your concentration is ect.

Ok a dream journal is the most important tool for lucid dreaming, it helps your recall, let's you recognize dream signs and can be a great help with reality checks after you notice these dream signs.

It took me 2 weeks for my first intentional lucid dream.

      Enjoy the forum.
